Joan Kuyek

    Joan Kuyek is a lifelong community organizer and activist educator who spent most of her adult life in Sudbury, and now lives in Ottawa. Her eclectic life has spanned working for the telephone company, advocating for better environmental protection, welfare and housing rates, coordinating an award-winning child-centered community project, a national economic literacy campaign and the start-up of MiningWatch Canada. She is a gardener, grandmother, friend and lover of the outdoors.
